Same Page Monday

1. I love Netflix Streaming and Apple TV, BUT I usually spend most/all of my time trying to figure out what I am going to watch!!  Am I going to start a TV series, watch a documentary, maybe a classic old hollywood movie, why haven’t they added any good movies to the recently added section, why are they suggesting that movie for me???… I guess I’ll just watch this silly ABC Family Christmas movie.  (That’s usually what’s going on in my head while I am deciding.)

Last week, I had a very successful week with picking movies, and that is share worthy news… Here are three movies in my “Recently Watched” list that I would definitely suggest watching!

2. I totally bought a box of this La Croix lime flavored sparkling water yesterday because of a few grocery store pics I’ve seen of Jennifer Garner with a box of La Croix in her cart.  I needed to taste what Ben and Jen have been sippin’ on.  It’s pretty good!  You get the feel of drinking a soda (from a can) without all the bad stuff that comes with drinking a soda! (NOTE: While editing this, I had a second one… and I am definitely into them.)

3.  I am sure all of you are already obsessed with EOS lip balm.  I am so late to this game!  I was trying to resist buying it for so long.. probably because Kim Kardashian was posting all these selfies on Instagram of her with her little sphere lip balm.  ANYWAYS, I caved.  It really is the best lip balm.  AND as of yesterday, I am now obsessed with their little hand lotion!  Everyone go get it.  Your hands are so smooth afterwards, and it isn’t greasy.  I usually put hand lotion on while I am driving/at a red light, so non greasy hand lotion is essential because I don’t want to get the steering wheel all lotiony. (Lotiony is a word.)  SO, YAY FOR EOS PRODUCTS!

EOS

EOS stands for Evolution Of Smooth.  It definitely lives up to its name.  (I am going to try the shaving cream too.  I will let you know how that goes.)

4.  I felt like I had so much to tell you this Same Page Monday but I am blanking on everything.

5. Oh, this happened.  No comment.

6.  Patty got the new IPhone!  She had the IPhone 4 and never once did an update.  Her Instagram wouldn’t function anymore… so she has been missing out on all the Instagram fun!!  Remember my campaign to get her more followers so I could be her favorite daughter?? If you didn’t follow her then, then follow her now that she is back in action.. @pattyott

7.  I am out of stuff.

P.S. I am so sad about Paul Walker.  I obviously didn’t know him, but everything that I have read directly from the people that knew and loved him, it seems like he was this really amazing and down to earth human being.  I am so sad for his daughter and family.  And Roger Rodas’s family.  I don’t know what I would do if something like that happened to my family.  I know this is cheesy but… tell the people you love that you love them. XO

I love you, family!

Black Friday Shopping

Happy Black Friday!! I have never been brave enough to brave the crazy crowds on Black Friday… but over the last few years (you know, the struggling actor years) I have strongly considered it.  But I just woke up at 9 am on Black Friday so I think I missed it.  Maybe next year.

Confession. I love Target. Not going to lie… I probably go there an average of three times a week. (Don’t worry.  I worry about myself too.  But it is on the way home from my gym, I get my Starbucks there and there is a Trader Joe’s next door… so it’s not that crazy that I go that much…)

Anyways, I feel like I get Black Friday savings all year long when I shop at Target! I really do find amazing ‘pieces’ at amazing prices.

Here are my Top 5 Target Favorites!

Top 5 Target picks

1. This Black Fringe Bag was originally $39.99 but it was on sale for $11.98!! I couldn’t NOT buy it.  A little fringe adds a little edge to any outfit.

2.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE YOGA PANTS.  You can get something very similar from Hard Tail… But for $70. BUT WHY would you do that when you can get them for $14.99.

3.  I am sure you have been seeing this style hat on all the stars recently..  I know I have!  They are probably spending over $100 for their hats.  This Mossimo hat is $16.99 but doesn’t look like $16.99.  Very good quality.  I love finding these “trendy” pieces at a good price (because it’s possible this hat will be SO OUT next season.)

4.  This was just a nice quality heather grey sweatshirt.. you could wear it with the yoga pants or dress it up with nicer black jeans/pants and booties!

5.  These are the best glasses ever.  Don’t even think about it.  Just get them.  They are in the $1 section.

But you have to be really picky at Target!

Target - Black Hat

Look at the hats above… It’s like Duck, Duck, GOOSE… but Cheesy, Cheesy, WINNER!

I was able to recreate this Julianne Hough look… (but probably for A LOT less.)

Steal Splurge - Black Fringe Bag

                    Target$39.99 $11.98                                                      Diane Von Furstenberg – $795

And how could you ever imagine spending $800 on a fringe purse???? NEVER.

I wore my black fringe bag to my Friendsgiving on Wednesday night and my friends asked me…. “where did you get your bag??”  (And these are my friends that have really nice stuff! Like Celine bags.)

They were shocked when I said TARGET!!! And it was only $12!!  Our Friendsgiving ended with a trip to Target!!

ShoppingatTarget

There were 4 left so they each got two!  They will make a perfect (and cheap) gift!

I think it is important to spend your money on essential items that you wear everyday and classic pieces that will never go out of style.. like jeans and everything at Milly & Grace ;)!  But I love finding trendy pieces and accessories that are cheap, high quality and don’t look cheap..  I will be sure to let you know when I find them!

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! CUE THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! XO

Same Page Monday

1.  Caroline just sent me the following picture.  She said that this picture sums up their whole weekend.  I am now posting that picture on Same Page Monday because I would like the record to show that Caroline and Hannah had a boring weekend, holed up in their cold rooms, studying and writing papers… and not out having an amazing time galavanting around Europe and making us all jealous.  Yes, that is Hannah under that blanket.

2.  It is one of my Thanksgiving traditions to re watch my favorite Friends Thanksgiving episodes.  (No, I do not have too much time on my hands.)  The One with The Football Game/Geller Cup  is my all time favorite.  But I actually just watched this one for the first time… The One where Brad Pitt comes to Thanksgiving… and he was one of the members of the I hate Rachel Green club.  hehe

Watch… if you do or do not have time on your hands…

3.  Caroline and I love the Friends Thanksgiving episodes so much that we always try to figure out a way reenact this scene…  It’s always a sneak attack.  No one really wants to be on the receiving end of a tiny marshmallow in their nose.  (Cezzie, we will have to save this for Christmas.. “Hot Chocolate with baby marsh-mellows… she has more marsh-mellows than me.”  Name that movie.)

Here is the scene….

Monica: Um, Rachel, you want to put the marshmallows in concentric circles.

Rachel: No, Mon, you want to put them in concentric circles. I want to do this.

Monica: Every year.

4.  One year, I made yarn ball turkeys for part of my centerpiece for my LA Thanksgiving.  (Again, I do not have too much time on my hands.)

5.  I have seen this car quite a few times driving around like a crazy person in Brentwood.  He changes lanes quickly and speeds around…. and I keep thinking to myself…. “What is he doing driving like that with that sleeping Grandpa in the back.  Poor, Grandpa.”  I finally got a chance to pull up next to him the other day.  While I was pulling, I didn’t know if I was going to scold him or say I was going to turn him in… but that all changed when I found out that the Grandpa was FAKE!!  That red hat was sitting on top of something, but it was definitely not a person.  I don’t know how I feel about this situation.  I can’t wait to see him again though.

 6.  And finally, Go Patriots.  That was the most amazing comeback ever on Sunday Night.  I mean, who can comeback from being down 24-0 at half time and win?? #BostonStrong #InTomWeTrust

7. Yes, I just hashtagged silly Patriot fan hashtags.
