I am obsessed with this bouquet. I love that it isn’t shaped perfectly but instead very whimsical and almost vintage. That was my vision…whimsical with some vintage aspects. I was having a very hard time finding exactly what I had in my mind…like the right mix and match vintage plate settings and the perfect wedding lounge settees. But, I think it has finally come together enough so you can at least get a taste of what this wedding would look like. I would love to make this wedding come to life when I become a wedding planner…any takers??

An Ode to my Converse

These black and white Converse are 7 years old. I got them when I was in 7^th grade and I fell in love with them. My mom tells me that I should get a new pair (probably because I put duct tape on the inside to repair the cloth that has been worn through), but I can’t seem to part with these. They are softened and have completely formed to the shape of my foot. They were with me when I started high school and when I started college. And they have walked all over Europe with me. They are the best!! I am looking forward to many more adventures to come with my favorite pair of shoes. Here’s to seven more years! (Well okay maybe not quite that long…my mom will probably make me get a new pair by then! ;) )

Downyflake Doughnuts with Dad

After our walk this morning with cute little Ivy and our mom, we went on a breakfast date with our dad to Downyflake Doughnuts. Downyflake has always been one of our favorite breakfast places on the island, partly because it feels like a quintessential diner and partly because it has the best blueberry pancakes…even Paula Deen thinks so! But, it’s not just their pancakes that are delicious. We love their omelets and bacon and of course their donuts. I mean anyone who offers a side of a donut instead of toast wins in our book. We used to always ride our bikes down to get a box of donuts with Steve and his sister Samantha when we were little kids. It was our favorite then and our favorite now.
